Resolution 00881RESOLUTION NO. 661. 1MENDING "RESOLUTION NO, 875, AUTHORIZING THE DREDGING OF A STRIP OF LAND FROM GOVERNMENT IS- LAND, AND PROVIDING TOR A DY1IE AND DU'ZUING GROCIDS.1 UHERSAS, the Council of the City of Alameda did, on March 17th, 1925, pass its Reslution No. 575, authorizing the dredging of a strip of land from Government Island, and providing for a dyEe and dumping grounds, -AND WHEREAS, it 11DW appears that the dumping grounds provided under said resolution will not be sufficient to accommodate the amount of dredged material in- volved in the proposed imbrovement, now therefore SE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that the United States te, and it is hereby granted the right to dump dredged material on said Government Island to the extent that the elevation of said island may be raised to a height of eighteen (19) feet above mean lower low water after settling. RESOLVED FURTHER, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that in addi- tion to the dumping ground provided in the preceding paragraph the United States be, and it is hereby granted the right to use the lands of said city heretofore known as the naval base site as an additional dumping grad:ad for such dredged material, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 91, New Series. I, ths undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 31st day of March, 1925, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Latham, Seise, Probst and President Otis, (4).
