CQNFIRMING ASSESSMJT ON ARPEAL.
WHREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda did heretofore pees its
Resolution of Intention No, 7S, New Series, for the improvement of Calhoun Street
between Versailles Avenue and College Avenue, under and pursuant to the provisions
of the Improvement at of 1911, and whereas the contractor for said work has ful-
filled his contract to the satisfaction of the street superintendent end city
engiEeer, and an assessment has been made to cover the work performed and spe-
cified in said contract and a diagram attached ill accordance with law,
AN1 WIEREAS, said assessment was filed with the city clerk and notice
thereof printed, published and mailed in the time, for and manner required by
law, fixing Tuesday, he 18th day of August, 1925, in the Council hamber of said
city council at the hour of 8 o'clock p, m. as the time and. place for hearing the
owners, contractor, assigns, or any other person interested in said work feeling
aggrieved by any action or determination of the street superintendent, . city engineer,
or contractor, having or making any objection to the assessment, diagram, or other
act of the officials or contractor in relation thereto,
AND WIEREAS, no objection of any kind to said assessment, diagram, or other
actor proceeding of the street superintendent, city engineer or contractor under the
provisions of Section 21 of said act has bean filed with the pity clerk, and no claim .
has been made that the work has not been performed according to the contract, and no
appeal whatever has been taken to the City Council, and the Council being satisfied
of the aorrectness of said assessment, the same is hereby approved and confirmed,
and the Street Superintendent is hereby ordered to attach his warrant thereto as
provided by law,
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regolar
meeting assembled on the leth day of Auguat, 1925, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Latham, NEASS, Noble, Probst and lreoiderit Otis, (b7.
NOES: !None.
ABSENT: None.
