Resolution 00992RESOLUTION NO. 992. IN THE MATTER 02 MAINTAINING n22, 3 ATS ON TEE BAY. WHEREAS, we @re informed that one or both of the fire boats owned by San 1,'rencisco and partly maintained by the State of California will soon be put out of commission unless funds are provided by the state for continuing its share of the maintenance thereof as heretofore provided, ANL HEREAS, because of the fact that the harbor of San Francisco is under the otwnershdp and management of the state, it is the duty of the. state to furnish pro- tection to the shipping Interests cf said harbor, AND WHEREAS, it is necessary for the prorer prot ection of the shipping in- terests and water front of the at bay cities that the state continne to contribute its share of the maintenance of said fire hot, now therefore it io hereby RESOLVED, by the council of the City of Alameda that the state authorities be end they aro hereby earnestly requestee to tae the necessary measures for furn ing the same amount of money as heretofore provided for maintaining said fire boats so that the shipping interests of the harbor may contihue to receive proper protection from fire, RESOLVED, that a copy o. this resolution. th sent to his Excellency Governor Friend W.
