DIRECTING NOTINICATION TO TEN BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RN
PETITION. POR EXCLUSION OE TERRITORYt
WHERNA5, the Council of the it of Alamed a. did on the 24t1i day of January,
1927, receive a written petition under and pursuact to the provisions of the act of
the legislature entitled "An act to provide for changing tie boundaries af cities
Find maricits1 corporations, and to eisclude uninhabited territory therefrym", approved
no 11, 1913, which petition has been duly and regalarly filed asking that the bound-
aries of the city to altered, and certain uninhabited territory be excluded therefrom,
the territory proposed to to thus excluded beins described as follows:
All the territory in Yreeklyn basin situate lyins and teinF
between the center line of the south channel aid the center line
of the north or Brooklyn channel, including the island which has
been created between said channels and whic2 b. is corAmonly known as
"C.overnment Island",
AND WHEREAS', an affidavit was attached to each separate parer of said pptition
in which the &Mont certified that to the Lest of his knowledgp sad belief each name
attached to sale petition WES the true signature of the person whose ilLSWe it purports
to be,
ARE RWERNAS, the city clerk has certified that he has compared the signstares
attached to said oetitien with the signatures on the original affidavits of registration
on file lith the county clerk and has reported that said petition has tee signed by
more than one-tenth in numher of the qualified electors of said city computed on the
number of votes cast at the last general municipal election held in said city, and that
said petition is sufficient as required by the provisions of said act, hoe therefore
REEOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that notification be given
to the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County of the fact of filing such petition, and
said board be requested to provide for notice and hearihs thereon in the time, form ma
manner required by said act.
RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution be transmitted at 0A(.3E to
the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County, Hall of Records, Oakland, California, ard
that the notification. aforementioned be annexed thereto under the seal of the city,
signed. by the mayor and attested by the clerk.
