DECLARING BUILDING AT 1560 BUENA VISTA AVENUE TO BE
A 7UBLIC NUISAECE.
EHEREAS, the Buil ding; Inspect° r of the City of Alameda found the building or
structure located at 1560 Buena Vista IA:venue to be so dilapidated from old age zici ;neglect
as to be a fire menace, also e breeding place for rodents and a likely resort for vagrant
or dissolute persons, whereupon he Faye notice in the manner provided by Ordinance lio. 151,
New Series, of said. city, directing the owner to appear before the city council Tuesday
evening, April 5, 1927, and show cause w-hy said 'building should not be condemned as a
public nuisance a nd abated as provided by sat d a rdinance, and
WHEREAS, it appears that said notice W59 duly and regularly given by posting
and mailing, in the time, f o rm and manner provided by said ordinan ce, and the ma tter coming
on regularly for hearing before the council, and witnesses 'being sworn and testimony being
given by the Building Inspector, the owner and other competent ,persons respecting the con-
ti on of said -building, and the estimated cost of its rec onstruction, rerai r removal,
and the council having duly considered the :Ta t ter , now therefore, it is hereby
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that said building or structure
be and trio same is hereby condemned as a public nuisance,and the'roWner thereof is hereby
directed to abate said nuisance within thirty days from the date of the passage of this
resolution, by having said building or structure properly reconstructed or repaired, or
by having the same razed or removed, otherwise; the same will be razed or removed by the
Building Inspector and the e:mpense thereof ruude a lien 011 the lot or parzel of land upon
which the same Is located.
The Building, Inspector shall post t and ma il a copy of th is resolution as ;provided
by said ordinance.
