AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT F,or, TAKEO,
WHEREAS, on October 9, 1d22, thh tax collector received what was suppos-
ed to be the proper amount necessary to redeem from tax sale the:property of
Jennie T. Plummer known and numbered as 147Z Zan. Antonio tAvenae,
AND WHBRR:AS, it appears that a previous sale of July 6, 1520 , amount-
in,g, to the 21171 of 66.05 was overlooked at that time, due to the method of
book-keeping, then used by the city, and the additional penalties due there-
on. from October 9, 1922 to Pobruany 1, 1929, would increhse the amount .now
due to g110.47,
AND WHEREAS, the failure to ako payment for the delinquenhy to July
6, 1520, whs not occasioned by andy fault of the owner, who, at tool time,
was informed that there were no other delinquent taxes due on said property,
AUT WHEREAS, the redemption clerk and city manager have expressed
the opinion that the additional penalties should be waived ander the cir-
cumstances, provided the owner of aaid property, within thirty days of the
date hereof, will pay the or iginal. amount due, 10 16, the sum of ;e65.02, now
therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Council oh the City of Alameda, that the redemption
clerk be, and he is hereby authorized, in consideration of the circumstances
above recited, to aoceptthe original amount of tax due to July 6, 1920,
to-wit, the said sue of :Y65,05, in fall redemption of said tax sale, to-wit,
Sale No. 87 for the year of 1920.
