RESOLUTION NO., 1262
APPOINTING AND EMPLOYING =NETT HAMILTON
ENGINEER OF WORK
WHEREAS, public interest, convenience and necessity demand the im-
proprament of Webster Street in the City sf Alameda, and the council of oola
city has decided to take proceedimgs for maknng suid improvement under and
pursuant to the 11re4isions of the "Aoquisition and 'improvement hot of 122bm,

WHEREAS, it iro desirable at this tilde to appoint an "engineer: of
wor(" as provided by section 3 of osid act, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alamoda that EUIrnett
Hamilton (a competent engineer), bc anft he is horeby upnolnIed and embloyed
ao "Engineer of 'Pork" for the Purpose of doing and furnishing all the civil
engineering work and services, hare and all oimilar werk and esTvices
necessary to the. proper porfortaance of said work and improvement, to-wit:
The oewering, grading, paying and constructing of sidewalks,
curbs and gutters in Webster Street from the segregation 'line
(se-clled) to the northern line of Tynan vnn .i, under end pur-
suant te the provisions of the Acquisition and imarovement Act
of 125.
RESOLVED, also, that said. Burnett Harriltm be and he is hereby
appointed and designated as the competent person for preparing and furnish-
ing tho specifications for making said improvement, and he 1 hereby
ected, to prepare the same including all plans, prefiles and cross-
sections necessary therefor, together with a statement of the estimated
cost uf rlprovement (inclusive of incidental expenses and costs of
the proceeding), a description of the district to be benefited by Ms pro-
posed improvemen and a map showinv the same, and also the different zones
within said district (if any are necessary because of varying benefits),
also the grod.es to which the contemplated improvements are to be cry.-
Throated, and such ether matters anE. things as are recantred by the pro-
visions of said act.
REEOLVEl, that whereas said Burnbtt Hamilton is now city englneer
of ssid city under salary, be be and is hereby appointed as said engineer
of work and designated to Prepare :geoid specitications without any other
compensation than that whbah he now reeeivee as city enginebr of said city.

gularly adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda at a regular ymeting
thereof held. Ju'ne 5, 1.N2Y by the following vote, to-wit:
