Resolution 01327TT ON NO. 1.3.2:1 OPPOSING ADOPTION 07 ASSEMBLY CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT NO. 2, RE TAXATION 07 PUBLIC UTILITIES. 4HEREAS, a resolution has been introduced in the legislature known as Assembly Constitutional Amendment No. 2, proposing to amend the constitution of the state ao as to impose taxation on municipally owned utilities, and WHEREAS, said amendment, if adopted, would discourage public ownership and impose an unjust burden on enterprising communities, now therefore be it RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that it is the intention of said council to vigorously oppose the adoption of said amendment, and our senator and assemblyman are respeotfully urged to to everything in their power to prevent its approval by the legislature. RESOLVED, that copies of these resolutione be sent to the Hon. T. C. '!Test and the Hon. Roy Bishop; also that copies be sent to the reapective city oouncils of the other cities and towns owning and operating their public utilitiee, with the request that they take similai-aotion.
