REQUESTING COUNTY BOARD 02 SUPERVISORS TO
CREATE A MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, there is about to be presented to the Board of supervisors
of the County of Alameda, State of California, a petition praying for the
creation of a Mosquito Abatement District in the County of Alameda, under
the provisions of that certain act of the legislature of the state of
California entitled "An Act to provide for the formation, government,
operation, and dissolution of mosquito abatement districts in any part of
the state, to facilitate the extermination of mosquitos, flies and other
insects; and to provide for the assessment, levy, collection, and
disbursement of taxes therein;" approved May 29, 1915, and all Acts
amendatory thereof; and
'WHEREAS, it appears that the public necessity and welfare of the
City of Alameda requires the formation of such a district, and the inclusion
of the City of Alameda therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT TASOLVED; That the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Alameda be and said Board is hereby requested to include the
incorporated territory of the City of Alameda in the aforesaid proposed
district.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of march, 1929,
by the following vote, to wit;
AYES: Councilmen Calcutt, Latham, Neiss, Noble and president
otis, (5).
NOES; None.
ABSENT: None.
