WH.EHEAS, the proposition of widening the roadway of lark. trt
and insthllin a new lightinJ3 system thereon has been pending before the
city council for a long time, and the proposition has been repeatedly
delayed upon various pretexts; and
1H222323, we have complete confidenha in the judgment of our
board of public utilities and city officials end their ability to prepare
plans and specifications suitable for said improvement, and there being no
good reason for any further doles th the matter, now therefore it is hereby
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Al_ameda that the city
engineer be and he is hereby direoted to submit plans and specifications
for the widening and paving of the roadway three and one-half feet (0i) on
both sides in accordance with the general plan heretofore adopted by the
council.
