NELSEEM93, the industrial Adaident Oommitasion of the State of
California awarded 9:5000.00 to Mrs. Rachel McDonald on account of the
death of her host:And, an employee of the municipal lirhting plant, which
compensation was to have been paid in weekly installments of 5:20.80; and
WHEREAS, said award was recently emended. so aR to authorize the
payment of it)3072.18 to clear certain eroperty owned. by Mrs. McDonald; end
WHEREAS, on Account of commutneg the order dr payment the 9om-
mission hrs charged eix per cent interest against the award, which, in
the apinron of the Council, is unjust and uhhhir and results in depriving
the family of the deceased employee of the hum of 6505.57 whiah she would
have otherwise received if the payments had been deferred now therefore
be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the Oita: of Alameda, thut the
family of the deceased employee is entitled to the full amount of thr
award nfthaut any deduction for interest, and said :impanel:1 hereby orders
that a warrant be drawn for the amount of the Ma:lance, to-oft: '57,
being: the difference in the payments emMeer the original. award and the
