AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE 0'
WATER AT THE ALAMEDA tiftWICIPAL GOL2 COURSE
WHEREAS, J. M. OUGH has agreed to furnish all labor,
material and equipment necessary for the complete boring, casing
and testing of a well on the Alameda Municipal Golf Course, in
the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, all work performed therein during its progress
and upon completion be done in a thorough workmanlike manner and
to the satisfaction and acceptance of the City 'Engineer according
to the plans and specifications on file in the office of said City
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of said Oity, on the completion
and acceptance of the performance of the well, to purchase water
from the said J. M. OUGH at the rate of fifteen (15) cents per one
hundred (100) oubic feet of Water used, payable monthly until the
sum of all monthly payments so made shall equal the total amount
expended by the said J.M.OUGH in sinking the well; and
WHEREAS, the sum to bo paid by the City'shall, in no event,
exceed the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,,000), and in the event
that the total cost of enid well shall la e lesaer sum, the amount
to be paid by the City, will be in like proportion; and
WHEREAS, when the cost of said well, not to exceed Three
Thousand Dollars (3,000), has been taid by said CITY, the well
shall then become the property of the City without any further
obligation to the said J. M. OU3H; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED; by tha Council of the City of Alameda,
that the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed, far
and on behalf of said City and the City Council, to enter into
contraot with thn aaid J.M.OUGH in accordance with the terms thereof.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly introduced end adopted by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled
on the 5th day of November, 1930, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broderson, Csloutt, Nerming, Latham
and President Schaefer, (5)
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
