AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY' TO ENTER INTO A
STIPULATED COMPROMISE ACRE:MIND REGARDING
SESSIONS CIRIM.
WRERERS, the C286 of Ethwerd O. Sessions, V. Arthur W. Ctetson,
City of Alameda. and Cite, of Oakland hns been pending in the Superior Oosrt
of the State af California, in and for the C;ount:y of Alambda for the pest or
years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sessions claims title to the property in Thestion
throsgh various instruments end court decrees; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, by an act of the 'legislature August
10, 1913, conveyed the lands in question to the City of h1 oLed in trUSt for
certain. purposes; and
ZITHERS, the electorate of the City o A]nods recently deeded to
the United States Government fifteen (15) acres of said land; and
WELCHERS, Yr. I. N. Peckham, Assistant United States Attorsey,
Northern District of Celifottlia, and representing Hr, Geo. J. Hetfield, -United
States Attorney, has recommended that e determination 1De had, if possible, of
the rights of the recreative rartie2; now, therefore it is hereby
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that the City Attorney
be, and he is hereby, authorised to enter into a stipulated compromise determin-
ing the claims: of the respective p-rtes, 2Q T:02 map hamete attached.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
adbpted and :passed by the Council of the Oity 1) Alameda in Special 'Meeting
assembled on the 24th day ofTNebruary, 1031, by the following vote, to wit:
