TUBE ACROSS ESTUARY CONNECTING ALAMEDA TO TEE
SAN ERALCISCO-OAKLAND BRIDGE &XL BE INCLUDED
Si: TEE TOTAL COST OF TEE SAN FRANGISCONNAINAND
BRIDGE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, explication. is about to be mad6, or has been forwarded to the Reconstruction
FINANCE Corporation for the sum of 675,000,000 for the construction of the Gan Francisco,

WEEMS, such sum will not be, from all indications, sufficient to care and constt
Mon laterals, rights-of-way, etc., to permit the flow of traffic to and from the bridge-
heads., emd
WORSENS, such laterals and rights-of-way should be incorporated into sny plan for the
bridge end nht become a burden or tax on the property of the citzerz or either Nen Francisco
or Alameda Counties, inasmuch as such bridge is a mart of the State Highway System, and
should be a part of the bridge project, therefore be it,
RESOLVED, that the City of Alameda doea hereby protest the granting uf any money
from any 11 22 socenoD for construction purposes until the State Bridge Authority
does amend or incorporate all ouch. laterals, Nights-of-waym etc., tato one concrete
plan or construction, and. be it further,
RESOL7FD, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded 11) the Reconstruction Finance
Corporation at Washington, D.O., the State Bridge Aotherity, and to the Central Council
of Civic Clubs of Alamsda County ond to the Central Council of Civic Clubs of
