OPPOSING- CENATE LLIE 79 and 800 NOW
BEFORE THE STATE LEGISLATURE.
WHEREAS, the Conference called for representatives from Cities in
California in Sp,ecl Session at the Hotel Senator, Eacramento, California.
Said representatives of cdties and other political subdivisions and/or de-
partments or agencies thereof, devoted to the purposes of uniformity in
State legiolation, greater efficiency in administration, the solution of
problems of mutual concern to the State and its State Agencies, and the
preservation of the high ideals of a good government; and
WHEREAS, Senate Pills 79 and SO now before the State Legislature would
make it necensery for the East Day Municipal Utility Distriet or other public
water district, in extending said district, Lo include other municipalities
tc buy out any exAsting trains of any privately owned utility, or such por-
tion thereof that the private utility wanted to sell; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council
does hereby go or record in opposition to said Senate Sills 79 and BO now
hefure tne tate Legislature; and
as IT EthrTHE1? AESOLVED that a true copy of this resolution be forwarded
to all California cities and to the State Legislature thereof.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of
Alameda dn regular meeti-1 g! assembled on the 4th day of April, 1933, by the

AYES: Councilmen Leydecker, Morris, Ghanly and President Murray (41.
NOES. None.
ABSENT: Councilman Schaefer, (1).
