URGING CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BRIDGE IN PLACE OF PRESENT
PARK STREET 1131 31333,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alamedu, for some time last past,
has received. numerous complaints from civic organizations and citizene of this
city regarding- the condition of the Perk Stra et. bridge; and,
WHEBES, this Council has been informed that :plans and specifications for
a new bridge halre been completed, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLE:EL by the Council of the City ef Alumeda that the Supervisors
of the County o Alameda be urged to nroceed with the .construction of a new
bridge in place of the present Park Street bridge with all due expediency, in-
suring to Inc citizens of the Cities of Alameda and Oakland, and elsenhere,
adequate and modern bridge facilities between sail cities.
Eli it FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the . .
Boord o' Sunervisors of the County of Alaneda, and to William J. Hamilton, Chair-
men thereof.
