Resolution 01790RE30LUTION NO. 1790, EBTLBLISTING 3) POLICY OP TEE COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN PROVIDING FOR THE LEGAL DEFENSE OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES IN ACTIONS ARISING- OUT OF OR IN TEE PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda that whenever an action for damages or otherwise is brought against an. officer or employee of the City of Alameda in any court of this State, or the Federal Court, on account of any act or acts committed by such officer or employee in the performance of his duty, at the reouest of such officer or employee, the City of Alameda will, at its own expense, Provide legal counsel for the defence of such officer or employee, without, however, assuming any liabil- ity for the payment of any sum arising cut of a compromise or judgment in any action or actions whatsoever.
