AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
AIAMEDA COUNTY, STATE 0 CALIFORNIA, FOR AN
ORDER EFFECTING RUCH CONSOLIDATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions of Article 4I of the charter of the City of
Alameda, a general municipal election shall be held on Tuesday, November 6,
1931, and
WHEREAS the biennial general election provided for by Section 1041 of the
Political Code of the State of California is fixed for, and called to be held on
the same dey and in the same territory as said general municipal election, to-
wit, Tuesday, November 6, 1934, in the County of Alameda, State of California,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED EY Ti COUNCIL OF THE CITY ZAMEDA as
follows:
That said general nnnicipal election in the City of Alameda shall be, and
the same is hereby, consolidated with said State election to be held on Tuesday,
November 6, 1934, in said County of Alameda; that the election precincts, polling-
places, voting booths and the officers' who shall conduct said general municipal
election, are hereby designated to be the same as the election preoincts, polling-
places, voting booths and election officers as shall be designated, established
and appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda for the purpose
of holding end conducting said general state election withir the territory affected
by this order of consolidation, and that said election be held in all restects so
if teere wore only one election, and only one ticket Or ballot shall be used there-
at.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors' of Said County of
Alameda is hereby authorized and empowered to canvass the returns of said general
municipal election, and certify the results thereof, to this council.
BE IT EURTIER Ra3OLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to make its order, and to take such other
and further proceedings as may be necessary, to effect the consolidation of said
general municipal election with said general state election, in accordance with
the laws of the State of California regulating and providing for the consolidation
of elections.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County- Clerk of the County of Alameda be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to mail to the registered voters of the
City of Alameda the sample ballots' and precinct cards of said general state elect-
ion and general municipal election, and he shall likewise, within the City of
Alameda, enclose with the nitices of appointment to the election officers, such
notice of consolidation, end the services required of such. officers by virtue
thereof, as shall be prepared for that purpose by the City Clerk of the City of
Alameda.
RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be forth-
with delivered to the County Clerk of the County of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adouted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 18th day of September, 1934, by the following vote, to wit:

Supervisors of Alameda County, State of California, for an order effecting such
consolidation", - passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the lath day of September, 1934.
