LED FOR SUBMITTING SAID AESEDMENT TO TEA ELECTORS OF
SAID CITY.
12 IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the statement of the
proposal. for mmending the charter of the City of Alameda, v,,hich proposal is fully
set forth in Resolution No. 1902; as the same sTiall appear on the ballots to be
used at the special election, called and. ordered to be held on Tuesday, March 12,
1935, for the purpose of :submitting said proposal to the electors of said City, be,
and the same is, hereby prescribed to read substantially as follows:

PROPOSAL NO.
Amends Article X of said Charter; provides
that neither the City nor the Department of fublic
Utilities shall issue revenue or other bonds, or

incur indebtedness metering more than one year
after the date thereof, or enter into contracts

creating a charge on the revenues from any public NO
utility service or business for a longer period 4.e •••••
than one year, or engage in or acquire any public uti-
lity in which the City or said Department is not now
engaged, without the assent of two-thirds of the. elect-
ors voting at an election at which the proposition shall
be subirdtted.
I, the undersignedi hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of February, 1935, by the following vote,
to wit.:

ABSENT: President Murray, (1).
