APPROPRIATING 12000 OUT OF THE GeNERAL FUND TO
COVER COST OF SUPERVISION AND INCIDENTAL EZPENSES
IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVelkaiT OF WEBSTER STR3ET
AHD MAITLAND DRIVE
WHeRLAS the City of Alameda has Heretofore contracted with the Independ-
ent Construction Company, Ltd., and Heafey-Moore Co., for the improvement
respectively of Webster Street and Maitland Drive, under an allocation from
the State Highway Fund of the City's share of the tax on motor vehicle fuel,
pursuant to Chapter 767, Statutes of 1933, and
WHEREAS the work contemplated in said contracts is scheduled to commence
not later than May 1, 1935, and whereas it will be necessary for the City to
employ inspectors to supervise said construction, and to incur other engdneer-
ing and incidental expenses in connection with the supervision and completion
of said work, and
WHEREAS the cost of such inspection. and supervision and ineineitals will
not be refunded to the City out of the moneys allocated to the City out of the
State Highway Fund until after the completion of said work,
NOV THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNGIL OF Ti E CITY CF ALaAEDA. that
the au m of 42000 be, and is hereby, appropriated out of the General Fund, and
credited to Account 22-z, to cover the cost of the aforesaid supervision,
engineering and incidental expenses in connection with the work hereinbefore
described, said amount to be refunded to said General Fund upon receipt from
the State Highway Fund of the moneys allocated to the City for sueh purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor and Treasurer of the City of
Alameda be, and are hereby directed, to make said transfers on their respect-
ive books.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 12th day of April, 1935, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen chen, Morris, Tiedemann, Reebke and President
