as a committee with Mr. Edward Poss of the State Department of Public works. for the

NOW ETEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE' CITY OF ELEMBDA that E.
Eay Fritz, City Manager; be, and he is hereby appointed. to serve on said joint
committee on transportation.
RESOLVED, FURTHER that said committee be, and it is hereby recluested to include.

1. A comparison of present train and ferry system with
the proposed train service 71C, Fruitvule and Bay
Bridges, covering time schedules and cost of oper-
ation.
A practical plan for a direct connection from the
West End of city via bridge or tunnel across the
estuary and. connection with Boy Bridge.
(a) comparative cost of structures.
(b) comparisoli or time and distance saved

Fruitvole bridge 01 via the. present
ferry sister'.
3. A municipally owned transportation system giving comparative
capital and operating costs;
(a} acquire prezent train and ferry system.
