LE:PROVING "LTA FIGHTING OF POSFY TUBE.
WHELIEL.3, the lighting of Posey Tube, as evidenced immediately on entering the
tube, in bright midday, is inadequate and therefore dangerous; and
WRETIPMS, we believe that some plan ahould be worked, out and installe at
the tube approaches., esi)ecially on the Alameda side, for a Hradual blending, of
the daylight with the comparative darkness of the tube,
NOW TRENSFOR.f, BE IT MESCIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the City Manager be, and he is hereby instrheted to take this matter up with
the County Board of Supervisors., the County Enaineer and the Citizens Safety
Oouncli, and cooperate with them in the working out of a plan for a more adequate
and safer lighting of the tube approachea,
RE31LVED FURTILL2, tat one copy of this resolution be sent to the County Board
of Supervisors, one copy to the County Engineer, and another to the Citizens'
Safety Connell.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that tha foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly- introdnned end adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 24th day of April, 1935, by the
following vote to wit:
