IN NJ MAILIIX, DELINQUENT TAX LIST.
WHEREAS, it appears from a financial statement filed by the City kuditoT, and
the Zepart Accountants appointed by the City that, according to budget estimates for
the current fiscal year, the expenditures in excess of receipts, on .Tune 30, 193,5,
will amount to E32,732,60; and,
WHEREAS, in view of the state of the treasury, it will be necessary to practice
strict economy and reduce expanses where ever possible; and,
WHEREAS, an approximate saving of 1.1305-50 may be effected by adopting the pro-
visions of Section 13, Article II of the City Charter, and Section 3-292 of the
Municipal Code, and publishing and mailing a bulletin containing the delinquent tax
list, instead of advertising the same in a newseaper, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the delinquent tax list for
the current fiscal year be, and the same is hereby, ordered to be published in the
form of a bulletin and mailed to the registered voters in lieu of newspaper advertis-
ing; and that in addition to mailing, copies of said bulletin be posted in three
public places, as follows, to wit: One copy on or near the door of the Council
Chamber in the City Hall, on dopy near the entrance of the Public Library oil Santa
Clara Avenue, et Oak Street, and a third copy near the entrance of the branch Bub110
Library on Webeler Street near Santa Clara Avenue; all of the same to be done in the
time, form and manner provided by law.
RESOLVED that one copy of this resolution be sent to the Auditor, and another
copy to the Tax Collector of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
reUlarly introduces and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 21st day of May, 1935, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Munro and President Roebke, (3).
