Resolution 01954RESOLUTION MO, 1954, APPROVING AND AOC:BITING REPORT Ai PL iNS O THE JOINT TRANSPORTATION COMWITTLE OF ENGINEERS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SUB-AUDOUS RAILWAY TUNNEL ACROSS SAN ANTONIO ,D'TrUARY, 4ND INSTRUCTING CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AND FILE APPLICATION WITH 1h FEDERAL EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION OF OF PUBLIC WRNS FOR GRANT MD LOAN. RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that said Council hereby - approves and accepts th report and plans of the Joint Transportation Committee of Engineers., for the construction of a sub-acqueous railway tunnel under and across the San Antonio Estuary near Benton Field, with railway connection to the transbay bridge; RESOLVED, that the City. Attorney be, and he is hereby instructed to prepare and file an application to the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for the necessary grant and loan to finance said project, and the engineers. and fiscal officers of the City are requested to furnish his with the necessary date required to be incorporated in said application. RESOLVED, that the Mayor and other necessary city officials be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute and attest said application for and in behalf of said city. RESOLVED, that the City Planning Commission, and the various civic organizat- ions in Alameda be, and they are hereby requested to pass resolutions endorsing said project, and send a Certified copy of such resolutions to the City Attorney . to accompany said application, I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 29th day of May, 1935, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Mschen, Morris, and President doebke, (4).
