INSTRUCTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO MAKE'
APPLICATION TO TUJ1 RAILROAD COMMISSION
FOR APPROVAL CF THE RECOMMLNDATIONJ OF
THE JOINT TRANSFOIITATION CO=ITTEE OF
ENGINEESS.
WHEREAS, an application of the Southern Pacific Company for use of the trans-
bey bridge is now pending before the Railroad Cemndssion,
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has accepted the report and recommendations of the
Joint Transportation. Committee for the construction of a sub-aqueous railway tunnel
under and across the San Antonio Estuary near Benton Field, with railway connection
to the trensbay bridge,
AND WHEREAS, it is desirable to obtain approval cf the Railroad Commission to
the recommendations of the Joint Transportation Committee and, if necessary, incorp-
orate its provisions in such pewit as may be issued to the Southern Pacific Company.,
nor therefore be it
RESCIVED, that the City Attorney be and ne is hereby instructed to file the
necessary application with the Railroad Commission at once and ask that the same be
heard and considered with the original application filed by the Southern Pacific
Company.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 4th day of June, 1935, by the following vote, to wit:
