Resolution 01979RESOLUTION NO, 1979. ABOLISHING I REWIREMEUT FOR AIRCRAFT HECHANICS. WHEREAS, on January 23, 193.5, there runs inserted in Paragraph Fourth of the contract of lease between the Alameda Airport, Inc., and Pan American Aieways, Inc., said Pon American Airways, Inc., being a subleassee of the Alameda Airport, Inc., a provision reading as 'The Lessee agrees to maintain at the demised premises at all times during the term of this sublease and, if this sublease shall be extended as herein provided, during such extended term, one or more eircraft mechanics duly and regular- ly registered and licensed by the Department of Commerce of the United States, in order that any aircraft which may arrive at the demised nremiseseat any time during the night or day may receive speedy and adequate service, which ser- vice tbe Lessee expressly agrees to render at reasonable charges therefor, Provided however, that the Lessee shall be rs*uired tc rjaintan ' such mechanic or niecnanina only if and to the extent that the zanie may be required by the City p1' Alameda, 4 and, WHEREAS, since the making of the original leas e between the City of Alameda and the Alameda Airport, Inc-, the entire aviation practice has changed, with the result that the maintenance of two registered mechanics for the special purpose of servicing transient planes is now unnecessary and casts an unnecessary burden of approximately 43,000. per year on Pan American Airways, Inc., now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the requirement contained in subdivision "a" of the lease dated August 7, 1928, between the City of Alameda, as Lessor, and Chadwick Thompson. and Virgil G. Skinner, as Lessees, be, and the same iS hereby, abolished, the abolition of said provision to continue so long as Pan Ameridan Airways, Inc., Snell occupy the premiSes described therein as the Sublessee of Alameda Airport, Inc. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled cn the 20th day of August, 1935, by the following vote, to wit: YES: Councilmen Broyles, Munro and President hoebke, (3).
