1[HEREAS, the City Attorney has recently been celled upon to perform an extra-
ordinary amount of business in connection with pending litigation and applications
before th.e Federal emergency Administration of Public Works, and it is necessary
that he be provided with assistance to aid him in expediting said 7ork; new, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED that T. C. Weal; be, and he is hereby, empolysd to assist the City
)::ttorney in the hanilling of litigation relative to the Golf Course and other matters
in which the City is involved.
RESOLVED that the payment of a retainer fee of 6300 to said T. 0. West, in
compensation for said service be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and
confirnted.
RESOLVED further that Resolution No. 1978, adopted. August 17, 1935, in relation
to said employment be, and the same is hereby rescinded.

regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in -regular
meeting assembled or. the 20th day of August, 1935, by tile following vote, to wit:
