FIXING Ti E SALARIES AND ESTABLISHING THE NUlaER OF
THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF
THE OTT: OF ALALEDA.
RESOLVED that the salaries of the officers and members, of the Police Department
of the City of Alameda and the number of the personnel of that department be, and
they are hereby fixed as follows:
The Chief of Police shall receive Two Hundred and Seventy-five and no/I00 Dol-
lars (4275.00) per month; one (1) Lieutenant shall receive One Hundred and Ninety-
five and no/100 Dellars (4195.00) per month; one (1) inspector shall receive One
Hundred and Ninety-five and no/10C Dollars ($195.00) per month; four (4) Sergeants
shall redeive One Hundred and Eighty-five and no/100 Dollars. (4135.00) per month;
twenty-eight (28) Patrolmen, including Motorcycle Officers, shall receive the foll-
owing amounts:
For the first year, One Hundred and ilhirty-five and no/100 Dollars (4135.00)
per month;
For the second year, One Hundred and Forty and no/100 Dollare (4140.00) per mon,
th;
For the third year, One Hundred and Fifty and no/100 Dollars (4150.00) per
month;
For the fourth year, One Hundred and Sixty-five and no/100 Dollers (4165.00)
per month;
For the fifth and subsequent years, One Hundred and Seventy-five and no/100
Dollars ($175e00) per month;
One Policewoman shall. receive One Hundred and Seventy Ora ' eo 100 i liars
(4170.00) per month.
RESOLVED, that the salaries of the officers and members of the Fire Depart-
ment of the City of Alameda and the number of the personnel of that department be,
and they are hereby fixed as followse
The Chief of the Fire Department shall receive Two Hundred end Seventy-five
and no/100 Dollars (275.00) per month; two (2) Assistant Chiefs shall receive
Two Hundred and Ten and no/100 Dollars (4210.00) per month; seven (7) Contains shall
receive One Hundred end Ninety-five and no/100 Dollars (4195,00) per month; seven
(7) Lieutenants shell receive One Hundred and Ziebty-five and no/100 Dollars. (4185e00
per month; One (1) Mechanic and Fireman who shall receive One Hundred and Ninety and
no/100 Tellers (4190.00) per month; thirty-three (33) firemen shall receive the lowiig amounts;

For the fifth and. subsequent years, One Hundred and Seventy-five and no/100
Dollars (4175.00) per month.'
RESOLVED, that the salaries, aforementioned be paid in arrears of each calendar
month.
RESOLVED, that all salaries and rates of comrensation as fixed by this resolut-
ion shall be effective as of and after September 1, 1935,
BE IT FURWER RESOLVED, that any and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby rescinded and set aside.

regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned
regular meeting assembled o the 27th day of Auort, 1935, by the following vote,
