COMBRITIN 'ME ATHUOIMA CILDVBER OF CO. TIERRE FOR ITS WORK IN
CONDECEIGN WITH THE PARK STREET BRIDGE CELEBRATION.

VINEREAS, the celebration held in Alameda on Saturday) October 5, 1935, to
coannemorate the opening of the new Park Street Sridge was conducted on a more
elaborate and magnificent scale than any other celebration heretofore, held in the
City cf Aiambda; and,
=FEES, most of the work of nlanning,,preparing and conducting the
celebration VMS undertaken and handled by the Alameda Chamber of Commerce, and its
efficient President, :Tr. E. G. Ryder; non, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, speaking for and in behalf
of the people of said city, that said Council hereby extends its deep appreciation
enn sincere thanks to the Alameda Chatber of Cbmmerce end its efficient President,
Yr. E. G. Ryder, for the splendid manner in which the celebration was handled, and
in particular for the magnificent parade in the evening with which the celebration
was conclhded.
RESOLVED, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the Press, and a
certified copy delivered to the Alameda Chamber of Conimerce.

L, the undersigned, hereby certify ,that the foregoin resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of October, 1955, by the following
vote, to wit:
