Resolution 01994RESOLUTION NO, 1994 11, Tr A. MORE THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF TEE NEED OF CENTRAL SUB-STATION, HEREAS, the Beard of Public Utilities Commissioners is preparing plans to construct an electric sub-station in the vicinity of Eagle Avenue and Grand Street; and, WNEREA:d, members of the Council are informed, on responsible authority, that the construction of such a sub-station is not necessary or advisable., and that the line looses from such a sub-station would be greater than the line losses from the present sub-stations, and would thereby increase the cost of electricity to consumers; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Besrd of Public Utilities Commissioners be, and it is herG, by, respectfully requested to employ a disinteremtod firm of engineers., auce as Eyrnes, MciDoneld and Smith, 7tro were formerly employed by said hoard, to mahe the necessary investigation and report on the advisability of censtracting such a sub- station before proceeding with tha expenditure of coon a large amount of moeay for something which may not be necessary or advisnble. 1, the undersined, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution. cos duly end regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of 41anada 10 regular meeting assembled on the Itth day of October, 1935, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Munro and President Roebke, (3), NOES: None, AT T: Councilmen Eschen and Morris, (2).
