A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF THE UNITED STATES TO THE
CITY OF ALAIIEDA TO AID BY ZAY OF GRANT IN FINANCING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF A BRANCH. PUBLIC LIBRARY
Be' it resolved by the Council of the City of Alameda:
Section 1. That the offer of the United States of America to the City of
Alameda to aid by way of grant in financing the construction or a branch public
library a copy of which offer roads as follows:

Subject to the Rules and Regulations (PWA Form No. 170, July 22, 1935) as
amended to date which are made a part hereof, the United States of America hereby
offers to aid in financing the construction of a branch public library (herein -
called the "Pre;lect") by making a grant to City of Alameda of 45 percent of the cost
of the Project upon completion, as determined by the Federal Emergency Administrator
of Public Works, but not to exceed, in any event, the sum of 13,117.

be and the same is hereby in all respects accepted-
Section 2. That said Council agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations
relating to such grant a copy of which rules and regulations were annexed to the
Government's offer and nude a part thereof.
Section 3. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed
forthwith send to the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works three
certified copies of this Resolution and three certified conies of the proceedings of
this Council in connection with the adoption of this Resolution, and such further
documents or proofs in connection with the acceptance of said offer as may be re-
quested by the Federal Emergency' Administration of Public Works.

I, the :undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 19th day of November, 1935, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Eschea, Munro and President Roebke, (4).
NOES: None. ABSENT: Councilman Morris, (1)
