EXTENDING TIME TO JULY 15 FOR COMPLETION OF LIBRARY
WHEREAS- Villadsen Brothers, the contractors for constructing the
new branch library on the corner of Santa Clara Avenue and Eighth Street,
have requested a further extension of time for completion of the contract
to July 15, 1936; and,
, Mr. Carl Werner, the architect, approves the granting
of such extension, and explains that the contractors delayed completion of
the work at his'special instance and request in order that the work of sand-
ing the floors would not interfere with the installation of furniture and
floor covering; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that Villadaen
Brothers be, and they are hereby granted en extension of time for the
completion of their contract on said library building to July 15, 1936,
and that said extension be granted as of June 26, 1936, and Without the
imposition of any penaltiea,

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of July, 1936, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Broyles, Esehen, Morris, Munro and President
Roebke, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
