Resolution 02099RESOLUTION NO. 2099 EXPRESSII,IG SYMPATHY FOR IRE DEATH OP LATELAM. WHEREAS, the infinite Power which rules the universe has seen fit, in His great wisdom, to call our friend and esteemed citizen, Alfred lrthat, from our mddst, and -LEAS Alfred Latham served for many years as a member of the council of the City of Alameda, and gave freely and unstintingly of his tine and ability for the improvement of our city, the betterment of our government and the promotion of welfare of our people, and WHEREAS by Lis loyal and generous character, his public spirit and his faithful. and upright conduct as a public servant and no a citizen, have endeared him to his friends, and to the people of this cortmunity, NO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the merbers of the Council of the City of Alameda, in regular session assembled, express and here recGrd, on behalf of ourselves and of the citizens of Alameda, sorrow and deep regret for the loss: which the community has sustained by reason of the untimely death. of Alfred Latham. RESOLVED FURTHIER that a copy of this resolution be spread on the minutes of this meeting, and that we here express to the members of his bereaved family cur deepest and heartfelt sympathy for their loss, and that the recollection of his many virtues, and the record or his long and useful career, will be treasured in their hearts end memories, and will serve to seethe and strengthen them in this, their hour of bereavement.
