POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTEENTS.
RESOLTTD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDA that the salaries of the
officers and members of the Fire Department of the City of Alameda be, and they are
hereby fixed ab follows
The Chief of the Fire Department shall receive Two Hundred Seventy-five Dol-
lars (4275.00) per month; the Assistant Chiefs shall receive Two Hundred Ten Dollars
(4210.00) per month; the Captains"ahall receive One Hundred Ninety-five Dollars
(41E5.00) per month; the Lieutenants shell receive One Hundred Eighty-five Dollars
(4185.00) per month; the Mechanic-Fireman shell receive One Hundred Ninety Dollars
(41E0.00) per month.
Firemen shall receive the following amounts:
For the first year, Cne Hundred Thirty-five Dollars (4135.001 per month;
For the second year, One hundred Forty Dollars (4140.0E) wr month;
For tie third year, One Hundred Fifty Dollars (4100.00) per month;
Ycr the fourth year, Cne hundred Sixty-five Dollars (4165.00) per month;
For the fifth and subsequent years, One Hundred Seventy-five Dollars (175.00)
per mon
RESOLVED FURTHER that the salaries of the officers and members of the Police
Lepartment of the City of Alameda be, and the are hereby fixed as follows
The Chief of Police shall receive Three Hundred Dollars (4300.001 per month;
the Lieutenant shall receive, Two Randred Five Dollars (4205.00) Ter month; the
Inspectors shall receive One Hundred ninety-five Dollars (4195.00) per month; the
Sergeants shall receive Ode HundTed Eighty-five Dollars (4185.001 per month; the Police-
woman shall receive One Hundred Seventy Dollars (4170.00) per month; the Radio Tech-
nician shall receive One Hundred Ten Dollars (4110.001 Ter month;
Patrolmen. and Motorcycle Officers ahall receive the following amounts:
For the first year, One Hundred Thirty-five Dollars (4135.00) per month;
For the second year, One Hundred Forty Dollars (4140.00) per month;
For the third year, One Hundred Fifty Dollars (4155.00) per month;
For the fourth year, One Hundred Sixtyefive Dcllars (135.00) per month;
For the fifth and subsechent years, (The hundred. Seventy-five Dollars (4175.00)
per month.
,The Utility Man shall receive compensation at the rate of One Hundred Ten
Dollars ($110.00) Ter month, time to be apportioned by the City Manager.
Each member of the Police Department, excepting the Chief of Ponce, who shall
attaib. the Qualifications of "export revolver shot", "sharpshooter", or "marksman", in
accordance with the T7,,ruvisions of Resolution Mc. 2020, ahall receive, in addition to
the compensation provided above, and so 10:23 10 such qualifications are retained, the
followin(4 amounts:
Each "expert revolver shot", Five Dollars (45.00) per month;
Each "sharpohooter", Three Dollars (43.00) per m:nth,
Each "marksmau", One Dollars (41.(0) I.:ADT month;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the seleriez aforementioned be paid in arrears of each
calendar month.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that ell salaries and iates of componsatien ac ffxed by this
resolution shall be effective as of and after October 12 1236.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that Resolution No. 1963, and the proviso contained in.
the last paragraph of Resolution lo. 2096, and any and all uther resolutions, cr parts
of resolutions, passed by this council in conflict herewith, be, and the same are hereby,
rescinded and annulled.

regular meeting .assembled on the 2m1thi dry of Sentember2 1936, by the fellowits vote,
