REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY
CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR PARK PURPOSES.
WHEREAS the following described real eroperty, situated in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point on the Southwestern
line of San Antonio Avenue distant thereon North-
westerly One Hundred and Thirty feet from the point
of intersection thereof with the Northwestern line
of Paru Street, as said Avenue and Street are shown
on the Map hereinafter referred to; and running
thence Westerly along said line of San Antonio Avenue
Fifty feet; thence at right angles Southwesterly
One Hundred and Fifty feet; thence at right angles
Southeasterly Fifty feet; and thence at right angles
Northeasterly One Hurdred and Fifty feet te the point
of beginning.
BEING Lot Numbered 7 and the Southeastern
Five feet of Lot Numbered 8, in Block Lettered "J",
as said Lots and Block are delineated and so desig-
nated upon that certain Map entitled, "Map of Oak
Park, Enciaal of Alameda, Alameda County, California"
filed October 28, 1876, in Liber 1 of Maps, at page
103, in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda
County,
has been assessed for county purposes, for the fiscal year 1936-37, tn the total
sum of $86.84, to Bianca C. Royce, and
WHEREAS after the time said assessment and taxes became liens thereon,
said real property was, by deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder of
Alameda County on September le, 1936, acquired and ownede and ever since has been,
and now is, owned by, the City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, and because
of such nublic ownership is not subject to sale forcblinquent taxes,
NOW THRREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ALAMEDA that
the Board cf Supervisors cf the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby, requested
to make its order, and to take such other and further proceedings as may be neces-
sary, to cause the first and second installments of taxes for the fiscal year 1936-
37, levied and assessed by the County of Alameda against said real property, to
be cancelled, and that a record of said cancellation be made by the officer or
officers having custody of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions
of Section 3804a of the Political Code of the State of California,.
I, the underelened, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 26th day cf October, 1936, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen. Morris, Weichhart and President Esehen, (3).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Carrington and Godf rey, (2).
