APPOINTING LESTER S. READY CONSUMING ENGINEER
TO MAZE SURVEY AND REPORT.
WHEREAS the Committee heretofore appointed by this Council for the purpose
of making recommendations in regard to a revision of the present city charter has
requested that an expert be employed to make a survey and render an opinion on the
question of how much cash reserve should be maintained by the Board of Public Utilities
for the purpose of meeting future contingencies and major improvements and replacements
in the Department of Public Utilities in the City, in order that provision therefor may
be incorporated in the proposed charter,
NOV THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
Lester 3. Ready, consulting engineer, be, and he is hereby employed by the City of
Alameda for the purpose of making a survey and report to the Council on the matters
heretofore referred to, on the basis of $100 per day for himself and staff, and the
total charge not to exceed the sum of 500.00.

I, the undersigned, hereby oertify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned
regular meeting assembled on the 23rd day of February, 1937, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Councilmen Calcutt, Maurer, Morris, Weichhart and President Eschen, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal
