AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH
GEORGE SWANSTROM FOR WORK ON CITY HALL
WHEREAS the City of Alameda did heretofore advertise for sealed bids
for the furnishing of labor and material required for the proper execution and
completion of the work of making alterations and additions to the Alameda City
Hall, situated on the Northwest corner of Santa Clara Avenue and Oak Street, City
of Alameda, and
WHEREAS pursuant to such advertising bids were heretofore received,
opened and considered, and
WHEREAS GEORGE SCNSTROM, a responsible bidder, submitted the lowest bid
for the performance and completion of said work end improvement, and
WHEREAS a contract for the performance and completion of the said work,
(duly executed by said George Swanstrom,) has been submitted to this Council at
this meeting,
NOW THEHEFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF TFE CITY OF ALAY.EDA that
the bid of said George Swanstrom be and the same is hereby accepted, and a con-
tract for the performance and completion of said work and Improvement be, and the
same is hereby awarded to said George Swanstrom, pursuant to his bid as submitted,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, for and on behalf of the City, the contract for the completion of said
work and improvement, in the form submitted to this Council at this meeting.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution war
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of April, 1937, by the feaowing vote,
to wit:
AYES; Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President
Weichhart, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
