ENDORSING ASSEMBLY BILL 252 RELATING TO APPROPRIATION
FOR EXPOSITION BUILDING
dHEREAS, there is pending in the Exhibition and Fairs Committee of the Cal-
ifornia Assembly, Assembly Nill NO. 252 which provides for an appropriation of 5,000,000
for e State exhibit for the purpose of advertising the state of California at the Golden
dhte international Ex-Position in 1939, and
1dEREA2, this bill further provides funds for a Calfornia BuildinE, which
will be the 'host building' of the Exposition, and scenic attractions, wild life, educa-
tional, recreational and administrative fehtures of the 'State, and
■IXEREA, every other at in ire West has taken steps to participate in the
Exposition and to share in the economic benefits to be gained therefrom, and
WHEREAS, the excess revenue to be derived from the Sales and Gasoline faxes
by the money that will be expended in California during and becaohe of the Exposition,
will be in excess of eleven million dollars (411,000,000).
