Resolution 02161RESOLUTION NO. 2161 DECLARING RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA ON APRIL 294 1937, FOR TEE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORS 01 SAIL CITY TEE PROPOSAL FOR TEE ADOPTION OF A PROPOSED CHARTER OF SAID CITY. WhEnEAS the Council of the City of Alameda, being the legislative body thereof, pursuant to the provisions of Article Rd, Section C of the Constitution of: the State of California. rid on its own motion and by resolution No. 2150, duly adopted on March 17, 1937, frame a proposed charter for the government r0 said city, which proposed charter was fully set forth in said resolution and e copy filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Alameda on March 17, 1937, which proposed charter is hereby referred to and by this reference made a part hereof to all intents and purposes as though fully set forth herein, and WHEREAS by said resolution .o. 2150 said Council did cell u special election to be held in said City on Thursday, April 29, 1937, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said city the proposal for the adoption of tho said proposed charter of the City of Alameda, which proposal is in words and figures as follows, to-wit: PEOPOSAL TO ADOPT PROPOSED CEARTER OF TUB CITY OF ALAMEDA Shall the proposed charter of the City of Alameda, framed by the Council of said City and filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Alameda ....O.... .8 *so e on Larch 17, 1937, and as set forth in Resolution No. 2150, adopted by said Council an March 17, 1937, he ratified and adopted as and for the .............. charter of the City of Alameda? and WHEREAS sixty-rive election precincts were fixed and established in said City for holding and conducting said soecial election, said precincts being the sae as were last theretofore defined, described and established by she Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, State of California, be resolution of said Board !do. 29400, adonted December 17, 1935, and amendments thereto, as the election precincts within the City of Alameda for holding general. state and county elections, and WHEREAS the City Clerk of the City of Alameda, more than twenty-five days prior to said special election, to-wit, on March 25, 1937, did file in his :ia'ice a notice setting forth the date of such election and containing the proposal for the adoption of said proposed charter, in which notice there was also designated the names and addresses of the election officers who had been appointed for each precinct, and the polling places therein, and also immediately thereafter caused a true copy of said notice to be posted in a prominent place in his said office, and WHEREAS the City Clerk also caused to be published a list of the names of the election officers appointed, and the polling places designated for each election precinct, in The Alameda dournal, a newspaper of general circulation and the official newspaper of said City, for two issues, to-wit, on April 2, 1937 and on.
