WHEREAS the Council of the.City of Alameda did, en. the 18th day of May, 1'937, pass E resolntibm declaring its intention tc order the closirAg up of that portion of Harrison Avenue, formerly Washington Avenue, lying between the easterly line df Pearl Street and the westerly line of Versailles Avenue, in the City of Alameda. County of Alameda, State of California, and WHEREAS no land was deemed necessary to be taken, or will be taken, for the work and improvement of closing said street, and. the exterior boundaries of the dustrict of lands to be affected or benefited by said work or improvemett, and to be assessed to ray the damegds, costs and enpenses thereof, are the corporate boundaries. of tho City of Alameda, and WHEREAS it appoars that it is not necessary to assess ony lands to pay the damages, costs and expenses of said improvement, end WHEREAS on the 4231 nay of May, 1937, the Street SoperintenheRt of the City of Alameda caused to be conspicuously posted along the lines of yid contemplated work and improvement, at not more than 500 feat in distance apart, and not less tban three in ail; notices of the passage of said resolution, in time, form and manner required by law, and WHERES. the said Street Superintendent. also caused a notice; similar in substance, to be published for a period of ten days., in the Alameda Times-Star, a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City and. designated by said.
