DESIGNATING GEE ALAMEDA TIMES-STAR AS THE
OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY OF AIRMEDA
WENEYEAS this Council heretofore dolled end advertised for sealed bids
GI pronosals for newspaper advertising of ordinances, legal notices and such other
mattoro 55 the Council, and ether officers of the City ore required by law to publish
for the fiscal year ending Zune 30, 1936, and
WHEREAS, in response to said advertioement the Times-Star Publishing
Company submitted its sealed prorohal or bid, in writing, sold bid being the only bid
received, whereupon this Council, on the 29th day of June, 1937, duly accepted said bid
and awarded the contract therefor to said 3imes-3tar Tiablishing oomfany, and
WHIREA5 a contract has been duly executed between the it of Alameda
and said Times-Gtar Publishing Cgmuany for such newnpRpor advertising during the fiscal
year ending June 30, 1933, in the Alameda Times-Star, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and yublished In the Oity.of Alameda for a period of not less than one year
immediately preceding the making of such bid, and having e bona fide paid circulation
of at lost one thousand copies,

1.ournua11 to the provisions of Section 3-1t of the Charter of the City of Alameda the
Alameda Times-Star is hereby designated as the official newspaper of the City of Alameda,
wherein any publication, notice by publication or official advertising required to be
made by the provisions of the Charter or of any ordinance or resolution of the City of
lameda, GT of any law of thin State, may be given and made during said fiscal year ending
June 30, 1936.
