APPROVING AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1037x1938;
APPROPRIATING CERTAIN 'MONEYS FOR TEE EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN
SAID BUDGET FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR: AND RATIFYIDG CERTAIN EXPEND-
ITURES HERETOFORE MADE.
WHEREAS there has been submitted to, and filed with, this Council, at
this meeting, a budget prosonting a financial plan for conducting the affairs of
the. City-of Alameda for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1937, and ending June 30,
1938, which budget is marked "Filed with the City Clerk in open meeting of the City
Council, September 7, 1037,"
NOU THEREFORE, ME IT RESOLVEU BY ThE COUBOIL OF THE LITY OF ALLKFLA
that said budget us submitted to this Council at this meeting, und each and every
part thereof, be, and the same is hereby approved and adopted as the budget for the
City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1937-1933, and that the expenditures of the
various sums of money therein provided to be spent for each specific purpose, and the
several purposes therein set forth for which such expenditures are provided to be
made during the said fiscal year, be, and t1 same are, heraby approved and authorized.
BE IT FURTE7R RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby appropriated fur the
fiscal year 1037-1930, for the purpose of meeting the cost of salaries and wages paid
officers sad employees', the cost of maintenance, operation, equlpment and other
capital outlay, of the respective departments, divisions, offices and boards of the
City, and for the purpose of paying the annual installments of principal and interest
on Ihe City's bonded indebtedness, and for all otner 'purposes designated in said
budget, the several sums of money respectively allotted in said budget for the
respective purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices and boards of the
City, and for such special finds and other purposes designated in said budget; and
DE 11 FURTHER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may have been made by the
sevora: - departments, divisions, offices and boards of the Cis' after the 0einiu
of the fiscal year 1037-1038, and prior to the adoption of this resolution, and have
been or may be duly approved by the City Auditor, are hereby ratified4confirmed and
approved, and shall be respectively charged against the appropriations herein, and
in said budget provided for.
the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolutihn was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of toe City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of September, 10,37, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES; None.
ABSEXT: Councilman Maurer, (1).
