Resolution 02200RE:e0LU1'ICN NO. 2200 ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF, A TENNIS COURT ON PROPERTY OWNED BY TUE CITY OF ALAMEDA AT HAIGHT AVENUE AND LINDEN STREET RESOLVED BY Th2 COUNCIL OF T} CITY OF ALAMEDA, that the plans and sps- cifications for the construction of a teanis court on Haight Avenue near Linden Street in the City of Alameda, filed in the office of the City Clerk on October 5, 1937, be and the same are hereby approved and adopted. RESOLVED FURTHER that the construction of said tennis court, in accor- dance with the plans and specifications therefor, be and the same is hereby au- thorized. RESOLVED FURTHER that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 8:15 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday, the 19th day of October, 193?, for the construction of a tennis court on property owed by said City et Haight Avenue and Linden Street, in accordance with said plans and spe- cifications, to which reference is hereby made for full details and description. Bids shell be delivered to the City Clerk et the City Hall in Alameda, California . All proposals shall be presented under sealed cover, and shall be ac- companied by a cashier's check or certified check, drawn on a responsible bank, payable to the order of the City of Alameda, for en amount equal to at least ten per cent of the aggregate amount of such proposal, which check, and the amount thereof, shall be forfeited to the City of Alameda es agreed and liquidated dam- ages by any bidder to whom the contract is awarded in the event that such bidder shall fail to enter into e contract in the manner and within the time set forth in said specifications. Bidders will be furnished forms of proposals upon application to the City Engineer, and all proposals shall be made on forms so furnished; bids must be made without erasure or alteration. Proposals shall specify a lump sum price. The price bid must include all State and Federal taxes. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise in the Alameda Times-Star a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this re- solution and of said plans end specifieations. ee*e4ee**************** I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of October, 1957, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Maurer, Morris end President Weichhart, (4).
