AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF
THREE AUTOMOBILES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHERE:AB. hte Cdty of Alameda heretofore published notices calling for is for
furnishing-, three automobiles for the police department in accordance with specifications
therefor approved November 11, 1937, and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice various sealed bids were submitted, in-
o luding the bid of Frank Dietz, doing business as Dietz Motor Company, wherein said
bidder agreed to furnish three 7H2C8 Mode i For V-e, B5 H.P. Standard two-door sedans,
for the sari of 25304C, payable $1050 in cash and 444.31.44 by the transfer M10 delivery
t o said bidder by the City of three used cars, described under Items 1, 2 and 3 of said
specifications,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT LTED AND DETERMINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE GI= OF
ALAMEDA that said Frank Dietz is e responsible bidder, and that the aforesaid proposal
submitted by said bidder is the lowest und best bid received.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the bid of said Frank Dietz be accepted; that a contract
for Inc furnishing of said three automobilea in accordance with said specifications and
said bld, and providing for the sale and delivery to the City Bf said automobiles and .
the transfer and delivery to said bidder or the aforesaid used cars, and for the payment
of the balance of the purchase price in cash be, end the same is hereby awarded to said
bidder, and that the Mayor of the City of Alameda be and he is hereby authorized to
execute on behalf of this City a contract in the form submitted at this meeting.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the City Clerk be and he is hernby directed tc return to
the uhsuccessfal bidders the proposal gfuaranties accompanying their respective bids.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that 11 foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted . by the Council of the City of Alamoda in rewlar meetinr .
assembled on the List day of December, 1037, by the following vote, to wit:
