AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF
MEE EDG63 21Th FOR THE FIRE DEPAEGEMNI.
HEREAS, the City' of Alameda heretofore publashed notieas calling for bids
for furnishing one automobile for the rdre department in accordance with specifications
therefor approved November 10, 1937, and
WIDEREAS, in response Ea said notice various sealad bids were adbmitted, including
the bid of C. WE Hammond, wherein said bidder agreed to furnish one 19 Model 81 Coupe,
Sudson-Terraolane tor the sum of 4978.50 in cash,
NOW IETTETTEA, BE IT RESOLVED ABE DETERMINED FY TEE COUNCIL GI THE =TY nF
ALAMEDA tnat said C. W. haannond is a responsible bidder, and that the aforesaid rromosal
submitted by said bidder is the lowest and nest old received.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the bid of said C. W. Hammond be accepted; that a
contract for the furnishing of said automobila in accordance with said specifications
aad said bid, and providing' for the sale and delivery to the City of said automobile be,
and the same is hereby awardad to said bidder, and that the Mayor of the Sity of Alameda
be and he is hereby authorizad to execute on behalf of this City a contract in the form
-u 111t'6 at this meeting.
FURTHER RESOLVED that tLe City Clerk be end he is horeby directed to return
to the unsuccessful bidders the -proposal guaranties acoompanyimg their reepeative bids.
