Resolution 02232HESOLUTION NO. 22:62 ,RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE THAT PORTION OF VERSAILLES AVENUE FROM THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF OTIS DRIVE (FORMERLY BAY ISLAND AVENUE) TO THE SOUTHERLY TERMINATION OF SAID VERSAILLES AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA. RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that public interest and 0011- yeniere require, and said Cou_ncil hereby declares its intention to erder, the closing up of that Portion of Versailles Avenue fro the southerly line of Otis Drive (formerly Bay Island Avenue) tc the southerly termination of said Versailles Ayenue, in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California. RESOLVED FURTHE,R that no land is deemed necessary to be taken, or will be taken, for the work and improvement of closing said street, and that the exterior boundaries of the district of lands, to be affected or benefitted by said work or improvement, and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, are the corporate boundaries of the City of Alameda; that no lands will be assessed to pay' the damages, costs and sx- penses of said improvement. The Street Superintendent of the City of Alameda shall cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be conspicuously posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and in the time, form and manner required by law. He shall also cause a notice, similar in substance, to be published for a period of ten days in the Alameda Times-Star, a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated by the said City Council as the newsparer in which said notice shall be published- Any person interested objecting to said work or improvement, or to the extent of the district of lands to be affected or benefitted by said work or improvement, and to be assessed to nay the costs and expenses thereof, may make written objections to the same within ten days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said notice, and deliver said objections to the clerk of the City' Council as required by law. .11 the herein proposed work and improvement of closing said street, or parts of street aforementioned, shall be done under in pursuance to an act of the Legislature entitled, 'An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or 0102ing or in whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley, court municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property convenient for that purpose," approved March 6, 1009, (Stets. 1030, p. 7 thereto. 1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing nesoluti regularly introduced and adopted by' the Council of the City of Alameda i assembled an the 15th day of Rarch, 1938, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and Pre NOES; None.
