WHEREAS the City of Alameda, pursuant tp the provisions of Section 203 of the
Streets and Higeways Code, •and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder for
administering the provisions thereof, submitted to the Director o' Public Works of the
State of California its project for the improving of Broadway from the Northerly line
of Otis Drive to the Southerly line of Incinal Avenue, approximately 2C75 feet, con-.
sisting of repaving the present roadway anh wideninE both sides of the street four (z,)
feet and havins and constructing new curbs, gutters, gutter brieges, sidewalks, and
taking out the present culverts and mplacing with new, anal cont eucting two new stand-
ard catchbazins, and. other ihcidental work, and
WHEREAS said project and construction work therein. contemplatec . have been.
approved. by said Director of Public Works, end the moneys required. to cover the rest of
said project have been. allocated, and the expenditure thereof authorized and approved,
and whereas a contract or "Memorandum of Agreement" between the City of Alameda and
the Lcp of Public Works of the State of Califorada was heretofore jointly
executed by the City on February 153 1939, and by the Department of Public Works on
March 2, 1)58, and
WHEREAS plans and specifications for the improvement and work hereinbefore
referred to have been prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Alameda and approved.
by said Director of Public Works, and filed in the office ,).f the City Clerk of said
City on the 3rd day of May, 1958,

aforesaid titans and specifications be, and the same are hereby approved. and adopted.
