WBEREAS pursuant to resolution No. 1965 of the Council of the City o Alameda,
thu City of Alameda througO its duly authorized officials heretofore executed and filed
its application. to the United. States ct America through the Federal Emergency Administra-
tion of Public Workd for a grant to aid in financing the construction of a sub-aqueous
single track electric tunnel. under and across the San Antonio Eutunry, running from
the Alameda side, from the eastern boundary Lo the Alamedu Airport, with a single track
elelctric railway running northerly to 0 existing tracks of Seventh Street in the City
of Oakland, and
WHEREAS this Council has authorized the filing of an amendatory application. in
connection with. such project changing thu location and de10 gn. of same, and. by reason
thereof it is necessoky that new plans and subncrtiog data be furnished to the Federal
Emergonoy Administration. of Public Works,
NOW EFERFFORE, BE TT RESOLVE:L:1 BY TBE COUNCIL OF APB CITY OF ALALEDA that the City
Yenager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cau21 such plans and supporting
date. as may be required by the government to be precaked and submitted in support of.

employ a computent engineer or competent engineers, exporienced in 10 0+ tunnel
