Resolution 02328RESOLUTION NO, 2328 CALLING GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ON MARCH 14, 1949; ESTABLISHING ELECTION PRECINCTS; FIXING NUMBER OF ELECTION OFFICERS ON THE BOARD OF ELECTION FOR EACH PRECINCT e AND FIXING COMPENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS. VBIEREAS, Article XIX of the Charter of the City of Alameda provides that a General Municipal Election shall be held in said City on Tuesday, March 14, 1939, and WHEREAS, at said General Municipal Election and pursuant to the provisions of the Charter of said City officers are to be elected to fill the office of Council- man, for full terms commencing at eight o'clock p.m. on the third Tuesday in April, 1939; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that a General Municipal Election be, and is hereby, called and ordered to be held in said City of Alameda, State of California, on Tuesday, March 14, 1939, in accordance with the provisions of said Charter of the City of Alameda, for the purpose of electing Councilmen to the City Council of said City for full terms and for the purpose of voting on any cuestion or proposition Which may lawfully be, submitted at said election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 92 election precincts within the City of Alameda, designated and numbered consecutively from 1 to 92, both inclusive, as the same were last heretofore defined, designated, fixed and established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, State of California, by Resolution of said Board No. 31,860, adcpted December 9, 1937, and amendments thereto, as the election precincts for holding General State and County Elections, be, and the same are hereby, fixed, designated and established as the election precincts for holding the aforesaid General Municipal Election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Election for each election precinct at said General Municipal Election shall consist of one Inspector, one Judge and two clerks; RESUMED FURTHER that the compensation to be paid to each of the election officers for conducting said General Municipal Election be, and the same is hereby, fixed at the sum of $5.00, provided that the additional sum of $1.00, shall be paid to the election officer who delivers the returns to the City Clerk: RESOLVED FURTHER that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, directed to mail notices of appointment to each Inspector and member of said election boards, and to do and perform any and all acts required of him under the Charter of the City of Alameda and the laws of the State of California in respect to said General Municipal Election; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said General Municipal Election called and ordered to be held, as aforesaid, shall be held and conducted, and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof made, and the result thereof ascertained, determined and declared, as herein provided, and in all particulars not recited herein in accordance with the Charter of said City of Alameda and the laws of the State of California governing said General Municipal Election. * * * * e * * * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduoed and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of February, 1939, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
