Resolution 02334RESOLUTION NO. 2334 OPPOSING EXTENSION OF CLOSING TIME OF ESTABLISHMENTS DISPENSING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. WHEREAS, a bill has been, or is about to be, introduced in the legislature of the State of California providing, among other things, for extension of the closing time of establishments dispensing alcoholic beverages from 2 o'clock a.m. to 4 Oclock a.m.; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it is the sense of this Council that the enactment of such a provision would result in increasing the work of the Police Department in the City of Alameda and would be detrimental to the best interests of the citizens of said city. BE IT FURTITR RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be sent to Hon. Arthur H. Breed, Jr., and Hon. George F. Miller. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of February, 1939, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
